Grandview at The Virginian

The Grandview section of The Virginian Golf Club lies along the 18th fairway and boasts views of the clubhouse and distant Appalachian Mountain ranges.  This layered landscape view was the inspiration for the signage and associated plantings within the neighborhood.  The entrance signs boast monolithic slabs of natural range bluestone that were quarried per design specifications and arranged in a layered effect to mimic the distant view of mountain ranges. Plantings were concentrated at road intersections and cul-de-sacs and are designed to visually tie into the surrounding meadows.  Seasonal color and interest were paramount to the planting design and are achieved through a layered palette of trees, shrubs, perennials and warm-season grasses.
